Mine, is a gateway, but it has a standard keyboard port, a PS-2 port on the
back but you can use a USB port most definitely if you want to, I use JFW so
I can't help you using the screen reader with the laptop but I very rarely
have to use an external keyboard though I have done it when the need was
thee.
