Ya, on the beep, you need something in memory 0   or it won't beep.  I ran
in to that problem myself once, if there's nothing in memory 0,  it won't
beep at the lowest memory.  I have the software,  if you want it let em know
off list and I'll send it your way no problem I've used it for a while now
since I got my TH-F6A and it works great, on a complete reset you're right
it is a lot easier to do it that way.
