Hey, Bobby,

Did you ever read Oscar Lewis' 'La Vida' and 'Five Families'?  Very good,
pioneering studies on the culture of poverty and its effects on the view of
the outside world.  A lot of what I say about the viewpoint of the Third World
of industrialised nations can be found in his work.
