Hi Creighton, Don't believe we've met. I'm Ruth, the Vermont farmer who
stumbled in here just to entertain the troops with my stupid questions.
Glad to meecha.

Don't miss article about same salt mine in NY Times2/8/03. We were there at
the time of Cargil's takeover. To my recall 4 people died during the time I
worked there. I'll never forget finding the teeth embedded in a timber at
about 1700 ft, must have been from the welder that went down the hole.
OHSA, like any other organization, needs constant revival, or kicking in
the butt to be top notch, but the changes wrought are many and good over
the long haul.
Long ago when my wife worked with me on jobs, we were recasting
sections of concrete cornice and other decorative work on the to be Norwalk
Town Hall. There was a building collapse in a nearby town , with many
killed. The next day Jen told me happily that there was a guy taking
pictures of her walking the parapets. 2,000.00 fine.
Blame Ken for me being back Creighton
