Featuring new work from Tom Becker, Michael Davidson, and
Julie Ann Shapiro.
A variety of sounds, graphics, entertaining flash, writer's reference
materials, writer's working bibliography and tips on finer points of
writing.

Seeking quality submissions. Short fiction 1,500 to 5,000 words.
Please read the submittal guidelines on the site. Failure to pay
attention to the guidelines will result in your getting no response, not
even a rejection, so PLEASE read the submittal guidelines.

The Orgrease Journal exists to publish online an eclectic assortment of
short story fiction and creative work by non-mainstream contemporary
humans in the American language. The creative work presented at TOJ
suits the attention and support of the editors and the publisher. Our
interests cover a broad spectrum and a wide reading in traditional and
contemporary literature. Though not featured on TOJ, we also read local
newspapers, pulp magazines, paperback novels, matchbook covers, and
comic books. All of this is to say that we are sensitive to the creative
mixing of form and genre. We expect our writers and artists to show us
something new in a re-mix of the old. A primary criteria of considering
work for TOJ is that it be accessible and a pleasurable exploration for
people to read and view. In all of our selections there is a need to
find at least a small sliver of tragic laughter, of humor mixed with
pathos. If we don't feel it then we don't get it. We certainly hope
that you will find at TOJ a freshness of perspective, the excitement of
a new discovery, and the pleasure of some really dynamite creative work.
We value our time, we value our reputation, and we value your time and
interest in checking out The Orgrease Journal.
