The simplest and cheapest way: buy a hub, and install a NIC on each PC, and
buy 3 30-50 feet cat5 cable (always buy a little bit longer than needed).
Link all PCs to the hub, and setup Internet Connection Share (come with
win98 and later).  All you need to do, is to dail-up from the master PC, and
share its connection with others, but the speed will be very slow.  Since
you only have a dial-up connection, don't waste money on router unless you
have plan to upgrade to cable or DSL later.
