DOS only recognize FAT16 (or sompliy FAT) partitions....maybe the partition
you created is FAT32 ... Windows 98 uses FAT32 for "large drives"....

Boot from the Windows 98SE boot disk, and run fdisk , an then , Option 4,
Show Partition information...if the parition is under FAT32 format, you will
NOT see it from a plain DOS. You must repartition your disk (WARINIG: you
are deletingo ALL DISK INFO!) under FAT or FAT16 ...

If the fdisk ask you to Enable Large Disk support, say NO!
