A friend of mine sent me promising news of a growing trend for organic meat, eggs, etc. in Texas:

Thought you all might like to know that farms are popping up in at least two areas of Texas that specialize in organic farming, grass-fed cows and chickens, along with pasture-fed eggs, which is such an encouraging tread. One thing that was really interesting to me is that they use the chickens (1500 at one farm) to control insects, by rotating them in groups around the farm with portable nesting areas set up in the grass. There are 3 farms near Greenville, TX, with all 3 families in a joint enterprise, where they butcher the animals and freeze the meat (all hormone, steroid, etc. free) and sell it at the Dallas Farmers' Market on Fridays and Saturdays, along with the eggs. Their beef and chicken are served at the exclusive French Room at the Adolphus Hotel. The Greenville families also sell goat's milk and pork. And you can read about the San Antonio farm at:

The couple who runs it are also League of the South people, who helped sponsor an event very similar to Steve Wilkins' Southern Heritage Conference, with the Texas group calling their weekend the "Southern Historical Conference". The speakers they had this year included Jesse Peterson (the black man who fights against black leaders like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton), along with Ron Paul, H.K. Edgerton (the black man who walked across the South, thru Palestine, to Austin carrying the Confederate Flag), and Thomas Woods, who has spoken at Wilkins' event twice. So it was a great lineup of speakers. And they invited everyone to attend church with them on the Sunday after the event at the Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) in New Braunfels, where the pastor, Rev. Dick Jones, is also a League of the South member and is postmil. Here's the church's website.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting that there's a growing need for untainted grass-fed meat/eggs, etc., and that Texas now has it's own Southern conference.
