Where I live it is a pretty harsh climate, central Saskatchewan,
Canada, but I would guess there would be about 10 weeks during the
year where there are sweet fruits.

Saskatoon (service berry) and wild strawberries ripen in early July,
then raspberries later and then in September there are wild cherries
(chokecherries) which taste even sweeter after the first frost (which
is in mid-September).  I don't know if this is comparable to the cold
conditions you are talking about the Paleo human being facing, but we
are a zone 2 for those who garden and know what that means.  Summers
are very short but really hot, which is what saskatoon berries like.

And interestingly I know of no wild blueberries that grow here,
because they all grow further north in the forested areas of the
Canadian shield.
