I don't know, I think everyone should eat according to lean body mass and
not total weight.  How much energy is used above lean body mass?  Why feed
the fat too?  Oliva

Here's a guess.  The more obese a person is, the more of his or her body
weight is fat, and fat is less metabolically active than muscle (and
skeletal weight remains constant).
