> Sure, but by eating animals (including insects, organ meat, etc.), paleo
peoples used the animals to concentrate the EFAs in their fat. Eating flax
is a poor substitute perhaps for this

well you're right there. since we aren't herbivores flax was never a food of
human beings. when was the last time someone sat down to a bowl of flax
seed? The conversion rate seems to be pretty low to the elongated fatty
acids, so u need a fair bit of oil. when you take a fair bit of oil, you're
getting a healthy dose of linoleic acid, which is the fatty acid you're
trying to cut down on. the oil is easily oxidised, having no vitamin A or E
unlike fish oils. if you take the seeds you're getting phytoestrogens and
cyanogenic glycosides...none of these complications are ever mentioned by
Cordain, Erasmus or the other lunatics.

There is another option: get the Om-3 from the source which primitie has
always got it from... fish and fish livers, shellfish etc.

The astounding conclusion: if u want to eat paleo, eat what paelo man ate.
or as close as you can get.
