I was thinking of small town orlando. Of course disney added to the ecconomy
and yes used swamp land, but it also destroyed the small town atmosphere. I
have grown to detest big cities. I know all these are Gods people, but, I
wish he'd get me away from them.

I dunno, Ken. From what I remember, old Walt wasn't really dealing with
prime cropland around Orlando/Kissimmee. We went through there when Dad was
at Jacksonville NAS, and it was mosquito central, and not nuch else. I
think when Walt died and his brother got pushed aside by the likes of Eisner
and his ilk, things started downhill...fast! I truly believe Walt was more
interested in giving post-war families a decent entertainment value for
their money. The only way the new Disney Co. resembles the old is they
share the same name.
My tuppence.

Hi, my name is Jennifer, I'm 30 years old and I'm a
Disney-olic. I feel that I must visit DisneyWorld in
Orlando several times a year. :)
I love theme parks and rollercoasters! Theme parks
are my escape from life and rollercoaster are my
escape from my CP. <smile> I feel so wonderfully
free when I'm flying through the air and upside-down
at 60 mph.
BTW, My husband, who's from Newfoundland (Canada),
doesn't care much for Disney and such...but I'm a
Floridian and grew up with Disney in my backyard.
