Didn't see that. One of my sisters now lives in Mason, Ohio, in a big
subdivision where every street has the same name: "Charleston Creek" and
"Charleston Circle" and "Charleston Crest" and a dozen other such
variations.
There is always a tension between the developer (who wants to brand
everything with the identity of his project, including every street name)
and the local government (which has to dispatch emergency vehicles,
maintain lists of voters, etc., and wants non-confusing street names).
Street names should be done right in the first place, because changing
them later is politically painful and usually doesn't happen.
It was obvious that local regulation of subdivisions in Mason OH must be
nonexistent, since the developer was allowed to get away with the
Charleston fiasco.
