Good evening How is everyone doing? I just have a question about
transmitting around variable speed tape recorders. I have a Panasonic
recorder here, and I have transmitted with VHF, UHF and 800 MHz trunked
radios around this recorder and it sometimes slows the speed down and
sometimes speeds it up. I can't quite remember with the trunked radio
that I used, but last week I was testing a Motorola HT-1000 around it when
I was listening to something, and it really through the recorder
off. This HT-1000 is a VHF HT-1000 with MDC that it sends out when you
unkey the radio. For those of you who may not know it is the little noise
you hear sometimes on police and fire channels that will send out an
ID. Like I said I have used even 800 MHz trunked radios around this
machine that are only 3 watts, and my HT and the HT-1000 which are about
five watts.
In the case of my recorder I have almost had to re orient it to
its proper speed very carefully. Has anyone else had this problem, and
how did you correct it? Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in
advance.
