Sorry, I think the only way to fix the password problem is to reinstall the
OS and set a new password during installation. You can do an upgrade
installation so as not to lose any of you individual settings. After setting
the administrator password, you can log in as administrator and change the
passwords for an user accounts.
There is no way to tell what a password is. Even the administrator can't do
it. The administrator can only change the password.
