Depending on the MB chipset, you should be able to get DMA on both...
IF is is not adjustable, the VIA driver sometimes turns it on and
hides the setting...
And yes, it should make a difference... I switched an ATA33 drive
back into this system recently, and it was so slow I had to force
the BIOS to recognise it...
