HI:
I know this is not an immediate solution for you, but there is a neat
little gadget from cyberguys.com for about $13.00 plus shipping, that you
plug on to the ATX connector of a power supply and then plug the power
supply in the the wall or surge protector as normal.
The device has a LED that lights up and usually the power supply fan will
start if the unit is good.
It is a great little device to have if you want to test a ATX powersupply
without the bother of setting up a system or fooling around with one that
is already working well. I recommend it to anyone that is in the business
of building or repairing PC'S.
Thanks,
Joe
