Yes. And most of us have trouble spurning the easy junk food in vending
machines, filling stations, etc even when we know for sure there is a
big healthy meal waiting at home in a couple of hours. I suspect this
tendency of "see something edible---eat it" has been passed down from
our paleo ancestors for whom it was a survivor's trait.
