Have you ever tried burpless cucumbers (aka English cucumbers)?  They are
not seedy inside, taste better (to me) and don't cause burping.  I also get
pickling cucumbers (which I do not pickle!) at my local farmers' market;
they have less seeds, a thinner skin, and don't cause the burping.

Try them.
