Eric,
I don't think hunting is supposed to be enjoyed... it gets the burrs out of
my system and helps to refocus. A nice walk in hedgerow & field, good fall
views, and questioning the whole way, "Why am I doing this?" Same question
I ask every day, only framed in a different environment with an odd task at
hand -- try not to shoot the wrong target. If I could figure out how to
cook the birds properly they may be good eating. The unhunting social scene
in morning and evening is worth the occasional foray.
