If/when I need tools at a remote site, I ship them UPS, overnight if
necessary, rather than lose them at the check-in. Some are cheap enough
to just buy, like an exacto knife and blades, which I use to scratch 'n'
sniff paint layers. I remember trying to get a hammer on the plane in
Boston about 15 years ago, and being really upset that it was not going
to be allowed. I probably would have been arrested if I had tried to do
that today. Just getting my water bottle into Michigan's stadium is
risky enough. Go Blue!
