Hi everyone:
Thank you for the responses I received in reference to my question regarding
wheat starch in shampoo.
My concern with gluten is that I had many MS symptoms. Gluten has been
studied in many illnesses, both, mental and physical. To name a few
ailments where a connection has been shown with gluten are, Autism,
Schizophrenia, MS, Arthritis, and Cognitive problems.
My diet is devoid of all grains, gluten as an additive in shampoos,
beverages,
etc., and I eat no canned foods. So far, I am able to stave off MS symptoms.
Drs. continue to scratch their head. One of the biggest lessons I am
learning
is that good health really does begin with what I put into my body. No
culprit
food is worth an MS symptom, no matter how much I like it or miss it, so
no really does mean no for me.
Below are a couple of responses received regarding gluten in Wheat starch:
> It is difficult to remove all the gluten from wheat starch, so if you are
concerned about gluten in shampoo you should avoid wheat starch, or in fact
any wheat derivative.
>Does Wheat starch in shampoo contain gluten?
Probably. But unless you're eating it, or you have DH, that shouldn't be a
problem.
