Subject: Beyond Accommodations Conference

You’re invited to attend the University of Arizona SALT Center Second
Annual Conference:

Beyond Accommodations: Promoting Success for Postsecondary Students with
LD/ADHD.

October 17th and 18th, 2003
UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
SALT CENTER
TUCSON, ARIZONA

This conference will offer opportunities to network with colleagues, attend
plenary sessions featuring students with learning disabilities, explore the
latest in best practices at the postsecondary level of service, experience
hands-on demonstrations of assistive technology, and attend an outstanding
keynote address about a successful attorney’s personal experience with
dyslexia.

The SALT Center invites professionals’ interested in, or working with,
students with LD or ADHD to attend this conference, which will focus on
elements of support for postsecondary students that exceed those services
mandated by law. Blending a mix of both theory and practice, presenters
will provide a range of ideas and practical strategies for supporting a
diverse range of students.

The conference will:

•Provide specific examples of best practices to enhance the
postsecondary success of students with LD/ADHD.

•Provide each participant with building blocks and tools for
immediate application in their own postsecondary settings.

•Provide valuable perspective from current and former College
and University students regarding what works and the impact
of education programming on career success.

All conference activities will occur at the University of Arizona Student
Union Memorial Center and the SALT Center, Tucson, Arizona.

To obtain more information about the conference and to obtain the
registration forms visit the SALT Center Website at
