Ok, I know people are using adaptive technology , but I wanted you to
read this and reply <g>
I am trying to compile some stats on those actually USING a
one hand keyboard, or alternative keyboard layout IN THE WORKPLACE.
I have asked eight of my lists. No one has yet been able to tell me
about ONE person who is actually using any alternative to the
standard QWERTY in the workplace. Many schools told me they are
teaching alternatives, but cannot tell me about anyone who is USING
them.
I am NOT asking about the use of One hand QWERTY (this uses
standard QWERTY, but centers the hand on FGHJ) - many are using that.
I am asking about: the BAT, Maltron, Half-QWERTY, and One Hand
Dvoark (which seem to be the most popular options being taught in
schools today).
So, I am posting this again on this, and several other
lists, to try to get a feeling for
how many people we are sending out into the workplace with
alternatives, are actually using them.
