besides the obvious of jerky and pemmican, I take canned smoked oysters when i travel.  They oil they are packed in is not paleo but it is low carb and I find that is my best craving reduction food.  Nuts, particularly macadamias pack a lot of appetite suppression per bite also (and the fiber in them helps with constipation which is a problem for many travelers)

I have also found that my fears about what foods will be available to me to eat generally exceed the actual limitations when they come up.  So the camp breakfast is pancakes and sausage.  Eat the sausage only, and grab a bite from something you're packed to hold you over to lunch.

But take one detour off the right road and I am off the way of eating for a week, maybe a month, if it is a high carb detour.  A low carb detour like a non paleo oil or salad dressing and I don't have many problems getting back on track. YMMV
