in reading my own mail, it was a bit confusing.
What I meant is that on the FT100 their are a series of push button
filter selectors which are instantly activated, two presses selects
those for the 8 MHz and 455KHz I.F.s
those on the TS2000 are rotary, and on a personal basis, I don't find
them as user friendly in the heat of a contest situation.
By the way, possibly a general hint, I have now mounted my TS2000 on a
mobile mount on the under side of a shelf a few inches above my main
bench and find the front panel controls a lot more easily pressed and
turned.
It also leaves more space for keyboard, keyer and other accessories.
