Hi All,
Last Sunday morning I called 911 to transport me to a local hospital to
examine an inflamation on my right leg. Being diabetic was warning enough
not to let it go too long. I thought they would give me a shot, some
antibiotics, and send me home. Late this evening, Friday, I came home. I
guess it was a little more serious. I'll be taking Vancomyisin by IV two
times a day. They inserted a Gerschom ( pardon the spelling) port into my
chest for the month's doses of the IV. I'm a little disheartened because
the Vanc Tank, as I call it, drains my energy, but I'm not going to let
that happen this time. I won't be online for long periods of time, but I
will check in now and then. Thanks for the phone calls from those of you
who knew and thanks for all of your prayers.
At one point during my hospital stay, I became painfully aware of losing
oxygen and had to call for help. Quickly the remedy of oxygen through my
nose was there to help me. It's at times like these when I learn to be
thankful for the veery air that I breathe. *Smile* My leg is still tenger,
but I'm getting along nicely.
Much Love,
April
SonLight and Sunlight, we need them both to be fulfilled!
