I usually have a rough idea of how many memories I've entered, so I just
enter a memory number one higher than what I think I already have. For
example, if I think my highest memory is 10, I try entering 11. If 11 has
already been programmed, the radio emits a long beep. If it hasn't, I hear
the higher pitched error beep. The only problem with this method is that
if you've been entering memories in groups, you may find unprogrammed
memories in the middle of a series. Still, that's not the end of the world.
73's.
