This certainly was true for me -- my TGs went way up and my HDL way down on a
high carb/low fat diet. After just a few months of low carb/high fat eating,
my TGs plummeted to (56), my HDL went up to 75, my LDL stayed the same (139)
and my CVD risk ratio (TC/HDL) went from over 6 (high risk) to 3.17 (low
risk). I may still keel over with a heart attack -- I'm convinced that there
are non-dietary factors at work, but if there's anything to the TG - dense
LDL theory, I feel a little safer today that I used to.
