I don't know what it is about "downies", but as a group they are among the
sweetest dispositioned people I've ever met.  Is there something in the
brain chemistry that makes these folks so sanguine?  Of all the MRDD kids
Laura's worked with and invited to our home, kids with Down's Syndrome have
been the most inately polite I've ever met.

BTW--"Downy" is a term of endearment that MRDD workers use in this area.  I
didn't want anyone to think there was any sort of "slur" in there.
