This is a summary to my inquiry about GF friendly restaurants and food
shopping options near the Convention Center complex in Philadelphia. I
received about 20 responses (some duplicative). Here is the report:

1. Nice restaurant reviews can be found on the Philadelphia Celiac
Resources web site http:www.philaceliacgroup.netfirms.com
There is no @ sign in this web address. Several people recommended it
and it is wonderful.

2. Many people recommended a Gluten Free Bakery in the area called Mr.
Ritts Bakery, that bakes only GF things. I can't wait to go there. The
web address is http://www.MRRITTS.com

3. Portofina at 1227 Walnut Street got 4 recommendations. It is very
considerate of special dietary needs. www.portofino1227walnut.com
Veal Bolognese was recommended they also have a number of fish dishes

4. Reading Terminal Market - for fresh produce

5. Old Bookbinders Restaurant

6. Whole Foods Market (2 Philadelphia sites) www.wholefoods.com for
locations

7. Chinatown - many options, bring own soy sauce
Southeast Restaurant was recommended 215-629-1888 ask for Anita

8. Gallery shopping complex at 10th and market

9. Tangerine (pricey/trendy) Morrocan style food; Great Creme brulee

Thanks to everyone who responded, Kathy
