Hi All,

It is said that when there are dozens (or sometimes hundreds!) of solutions
to one problem, you can be sure none of them is the solution. Nowhere is this
more true than with skin diseases. It is also said that dermatology is the
best medical specialty for a young doctor to go into, since their patients
never die from their diseases, and never get better either!

Yes, there is Paleo relevance here. I suffered from Dermatitis Herpetiformis
(a horribly itchy, blistery skin rash associated with Celiac disease) as well
as Rosacea; both gone (I guess I should say in remission) since going on a
Paelo and therefore grain free diet.

And there is definitely a familial connection to many skin diseases. In my
own very small family, my father had Rosacea also; my first cousin has
Alopecia (must wear a wig due to lifelong extensive hair loss) as well as an
attack lasting 2 years of very serious unexplained hives; my sister breaks
out in strange rashes from only a few minutes of sun exposure; my oldest son
has psoriasis, my other son has head-to-toe vitiligo. Too bad the rest of
them aren't Paleo-wise-- yet. But one son is getting closer!
