nothing is thrown away from the animal in any indigenous culture unless it
is toxic - eg polar bear liver. As i took some pains to demonstrate in a
recent e-mail debate with Amadeus the hunting cycle was regulated around
when the animal was at its fattest..and this is true from australian
aborigines to Inuits. since a kilo of fat has 9,000 calories you can see
that a fat caribou or seal will keep people going for days.
