Hello all,

I bought Fujitsu winchester MPG3204AT E (july,2001).
During first half a year it works well, except some problems with
Explorer on multyboot system. However, a month ago I test winchester
with S.M.A.R.T. Disk Monitor 1.10 and find out that Param# 199 has the
following values: Current=200, Worst=188, Threshold=197!!!
I don't mind these several weeks, but at 08.03.2002 I got the Scull &
Crossbones Alert Window, and find out that
Param# 3: Current=94, Worst=1, Threshold=25
Param# 7: Current=100, Worst=10, Threshold=20
Param# 199: Current=200, Worst=188, Threshold=197
Param# 200: Current=100, Worst=1, Threshold=20.
Note that on the several Intel mobo it works well(810 chip)with above
parameters, however on VIA mobo I loose control on Explorer about half
minute and more (VIA Apollo Pro Plus).
Detailed investigation of SMART Utility shows that Fujitsu winchester
has Interface: ATA-5 X3T131321D, while another Seagate & WD wichesters
have Interface: ATA-4.
Could be the unstable work of Fujitsu due to the newer interface?
