Hi,

I think I can share in how you feel -- I've been eating paleo for just over 2
months and I've lost 23 pounds (from 178 to 155) and gone down two clothing
sizes (from a 14 to a 10).

Some of my friends and family are finally starting to come around and are
getting interested in trying my diet themselves now. (After two months of
trying to warn me about "the dangers of not eating enough dairy or grains"
and making excuses for my weight loss, such as "Well, it's all that jogging
you've been doing for the past year finally paying off," now they want to try
it.) Trying to eat paleo in this seemingly
sugar-and-grain-and-potato-and-bean-based world can be frustrating, and
people's attitudes can be frustrating, but neither of those things takes away
how great it feels to finally be eating right.

I love reading posts like yours, and I hope you have continuing success with
the paleo diet in the future. How much weight do you have to lose? I really
love to read about other people's experiences with paleo eating, and I'm kind
of curious how it's worked for anyone getting to what they'd consider an
ideal weight. I lost about 12 pounds in the first two weeks, and then the
rest of my weight has come off a lot slower. (I've probably still got 20
more pounds to lose before I'd be in what I'd consider ideal shape.)

Good luck & keep us posted!
Kathy
