First of all, I try to eat foods that are very positively nutritious- good,
with a capital "G", for my health. I am more on Ray's type of diet, fairly
high in fats, and all beef grass-fed, lots of homegrown eggs, and no
grains, tubers, nightshades, and a lot of it raw.
I tend towards a lot of supplements because I keep finding needs for them,
either in my own symptomology, or research that makes a lot of sense. I
take antioxidants, fish oil, enzymes, probiotics, herbs, food-derived joint
supplements, natural thyroid, and I think of them all as concentrated foods.
