I'm not sure about any of this, but someone told me once that since my problem
is casein, I could *probably* eat butter, since that's all dairy fat - not
protein.
That being said, I'm not sure that I don't get a mild reaction anyway when
eating things with lactose in them. But since I don't have the life-threatening
allergy (but the long-term sinus / skin / gut / etc problems allergy), I can
"fudge" a bit if I'm willing to deal with feeling "off" or bad again for some
time.
I've also stopped taking the homoeopathic things that used to work for me, for
this reason. I'd also be interested in knowing of any lactose-free versions.
