I haven't tried it so have no opinion. Some have said it tastes yucky. I did come across a recipe for making your own on www.hillbillyhousewife.com. Just haven't tried it yet. Anyone tried making their own? How does it come out? She has a section of nondairy recipes on her site. I know making my own regular yogurt it came out way better than store bought. Stands to reason soy yogurt might too. I miss it. *sniffle*
I have tried making deserts with tofu and just don't care for the consistency. I've been using soy milk on my cereal, though. Now, someone told me that soy milk is "mucus forming". :( Bought some almond milk to try - I don't like rice milk. I don't need anything that contributes to congestion and such. sigh
Here we have the Tucson Co-Op buying group (www.tcwfoodcoop.com). It has a wide variety of organic & other types of things. Someone organized a buying group and once a month we give them our order, the truck brings it, and we pay up. Prices are reasonable it seems. Maybe there's something similar in other parts of the country for all of you looking for sources. They have alot of the non-dairy substitutes people have been talking about here - including the tofutti desserts. :)
Hmm... looking at their website, looks like they go all over the SW. Havent' looked at their online store, though, since I ususally just buy thru the group using a catalog.
