Hi -
For some excellent resources on infant allergies, particularly breastfed
infants, see:
the newsgroup misc.kids.breastfeeding. Just post a question and very
knowledgeable people will answer.
"Is This Your Child?", a book by Dr. Doris Rapp
and my own web page, which includes links to suggested sequences for
introducing solids to the allergic child.
It's not uncommon for babies to be allergic to more than one allergen. If
you can delay the introduction of solids, do your best to figure out what the
other allergens are, and avoid them, there's a fighting chance that your baby
will outgrow the allergies. DO keep nursing! It can help, statistically
speaking.
What symptoms of allergy did your baby have to milk? What symptoms remain that
lead you to suspect other allergies? And are you *certain* that you're not
eating hidden milk proteins, which could be fooling you into thinking that there
is another allergy lurking?
I hope this helps,
