If the flax seed remain whole (and uncooked?), then it can last for a long
period of time. However it might react with the other ingredients and its
outer covering could become destroyed. If that happens, then the oils would
become rancid within a few days. But, as long the seed remains intact, then
you should not worry too much, I would think.
