Not sure what you mean by more of a service monitor....  That is what mine
is.  Only things mine doesn't have are the spectrum analyzer and a sweap
generater.  I'm surprised it doesn't have a serial port.  Mine is 12 years
old and it came with one.  How high in frequency does this one goe?  Mine
only goes to 999 mhz.
