For someone just starting out, bear in mind that the Kenwood THF6A is a
_very_ sophisticated and complex piece of gear.  It does a _lot_ of things
that any advanced ham can and will appreciate, but I'm not sure I'd
recommend it as a first rig to anyone but a graduate engineer.
