I use JFW on a laptop more or less all the time. Even when I plug in a
regular keyboard I don't use the numeric keys very often. The
inconvenience is minor, although of course one must learn where the Jaws
keys are. Incidentally, desktop numeric keys work in laptop mode so when I
do plug in an external keyboard I don't reset the keyboard mode.
