Jeff, on 440 you don't have to do anything except enter your repeater output
frequency, as long as the 440 repeater has a standard 5MHz offset. That is,
as long as you have Menu 5 set to automatic offset.

and you press function and then the number 8 once, and that will put you
at +5 MHz split.
