Your motherboard has a RAID controller onboard which I would guess you have
plugged your hard drives into.

You should also have IDE ports for non RAID access.

Try making sure the HD's and CD's are not plugged in to the RAID ports.

I have the Gigabyte 8KIEXP motherboard with 2 RAID ports and 2 regular IDE
ports.  So I've seen your messages when I set up my RAID array.

The RAID array requires 2 drives of similar size in order to work.

According to ASUS's web site, you should have the 2xATA133 RAID 0/1 and
2xATA133 IDE ports.

The manual can explain all.
