I think you're right,  if the radio is on,  that won't charge the battery,
that's what I was lead to believe, but I've been mislead before and also am
curious about this I know with my FT-51 it's that way if it's on the battery
is not charging on external power. but I can't find anything for sure on the
TH-F6A.
