Dear PCBUILD,
Thios may be a question for PCSOFT, but I figured I
would give it a try becuase it involves my Trident
9685 graphics having probelms keeping the refresh rate
I set under the display properties. When I change it
to 75hz or 85hz under windows, it lokks fine. But
after a reboot or restart later on, the refresh looks
to have returned to at least 60hz, causing an
unacceptable flicker. Yet the display propeties has
the original 85 or 75hz already selected in the drop
down box. Is there anything that can be done to lock
in this refresh rate? I am running Windows 98 on a
Cyrix 686 PR233. I have downloaded the latest drives
from Tridents website, but Windows install program
tells me that it's version (Window's) is better. Could
this be the problem?
Sincerely,
Chuck Hassenplug
