Rocky,

   Just a quick reply, here. Go to "Start">"Run" and type msconfig. This
will give you the system configuration utility. Just go to the "Startup"
tab and take out some of the check marks. Press "Apply", "Ok" and
restart.

   Since most of the programs that load in the system tray are started
at startup, this should knock quite a few of them off of there. There
are a few that are necessary to leave in there, though. "SystemTray" is
one of them that you don't want to actually take the check mark out of!
You should be able to tell if you need something ran at startup by
looking at it's name, or following the file path, though.
