You're quite right, and I'm still flying. It's still far safer than driving.

I went down today to have lunch with a friend from Memphis who is now
Dean at a Jesuit university in Austin (St. Edwards). It was 20 miles one way!
Talk about feeling unsafe! These folks here know only one driving speed,
70+!! Anyway, it was sunny and 70 degrees, so I took a scenic way back. BTW,
looks like I will have several teaching gigs coming up.
Right now I am so excited! Joyce and I are going to look for a new
computer for me. We are going to look at Gateway.
Also, folks, I was just notified that the St. Johns list owners have
decided to deactivate all archives pre-1999. Anyone needing to search such
archives should do so ASAP. I have written the coordinator inquiring as to
any methods for accessing said archives after deactivation.
