one of the meds i have taken for years, when perscribed, i ask my doc if it
was habitforming or addictive, his answer was "don't matter if it is or not,
you've got to have it." i was yonger then, but he understood that the cp
was not going away and neither was the med.
you've got to be sure the doc understands that this pain is debilitating.
that it is not just mild pain that you can complain about and then go on, he
must know that you can not go on.

those of us who have severe pain tend NOT to get addicted to pain meds. It
is
imperative that you make your doctor understand your pain.
